Sail with us on the Vecht and
the Loosdrecht Lakes

Join us on a boat trip along the Vecht and the Loosdrecht Lakes. Discover the fascinating history of the river, the country estates and the castles between Nieuwersluis and Maarssen-Dorp. Or enjoy a refreshing breeze between the Porseleinhaven in Oud-Loosdrecht and De Strook in Breukeleveen, whilst taking in the sweeping views and the many sailing boats.

Are you an early riser? Then why not join us on our Sunday morning trip. We sail entirely on electric power through the protected cultural and quiet area of the Kievitsbuurt in Loosdrecht.

The Fietsboot is an outing for all ages; you’re welcome to bring your bike, wheelchair, mobility scooter, cargo bike, or come on foot – and dogs are welcome too. Hop on and off wherever you like, but do arrive on time!

Our boats on the Vecht and on Loosdrecht can carry a maximum of 12 passengers. Unfortunately, you cannot book a place.

In 2026, we will be sailing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 18 April to 14 June. We will also be sailing on King’s Day (27 April), Liberation Day (5 May), Ascension Day (14 May) and Whit Monday (25 May). From 15 June to 13 September, we will be sailing every day. From 18 September to 27 September, we will be sailing on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

‍Our route around the Vecht

The Fietsboot on the Vecht departs at 10.00 am from Nieuwersluis. We sail via Breukelen and Geesberge to Maarssen-Dorp, and then back to Nieuwersluis, stopping at the same places on the way back. We run this service twice a day. You can get on and off at any stop, and you’re welcome to bring your bike, wheelchair, mobility scooter, cargo bike, or come on foot – and dogs are welcome too.

Fares on the Vecht: You pay €3.00 per person per route (blue dot); children under 12 travel free of charge, and you pay €2.00 per trip for your bike. Your wheelchair and mobility scooter travel free of charge, of course.

‍Our route around Loosdrecht

The Fietsboot on the Loosdrechtse Plassen departs at 10.00 am from Porseleinhaven in Oud-Loosdrecht. We sail via the recreational island Markus Pos and De Fuut to De Strook, and then back to Porseleinhaven, stopping at the same places on the way back. We run this service three times a day. You can get on and off at any stop, and you’re welcome to bring your bike, wheelchair, mobility scooter, cargo bike, or come on foot – and dogs are welcome too.

Faires on Loosdrecht: You pay €2.00 per person per route (blue dot); children under 12 travel free of charge, and you pay €2.00 per trip for your bike. Your wheelchair and mobility scooter travel free of charge, of course.

Circuit

Vecht - Loosdrecht

You set off at 11.50 am from Maarssen-Dorp. After a beautiful ride along the Vecht, you arrive in Nieuwersluis at 1.40 pm. Via cycle junctions 25 and 7, you cycle to the Porseleinhaven in Oud-Loosdrecht. There, your trip on the Fietsboot across the lakes begins at 2.40 pm. At 3.50 pm, you’ll disembark at the Strook. Fancy relaxing on the terrace of the restaurant there? Via cycle junctions 23, 85 and 87, you’ll cycle back to Maarssen.

Loosdrecht – Vecht

Why not cycle and sail the Loosdrecht–Vecht circuit?

Set off at 10.00 am from Porseleinhaven in Oud-Loosdrecht and sail along to De Strook. You’ll arrive there at 11.10 am.

Cycle via cycle junctions 23, 85 and 87 to Geesberge, where coffee will be waiting for you. At 12.15 pm, continue your trip on the Vecht. You’ll arrive in Nieuwersluis at 1.40 pm. Cycle back to Loosdrecht via cycle junctions 2, 25 and 7.
